CIBA members are invited to attend a webinar about joining the booksellers.ca marketplace, the English-language counterpart to the successful leslibraires.ca platform. The webinar will explain how independent bookstores can benefit from this collaborative online marketplace that pools resources to create a competitive, cutting-edge digital platform to serve communities, encourage people to shop locally, and preserve the unique nature of independent bookstores while effectively competing with web giants.

Leveraging two decades of proven marketplace technology and expertise, the presentation will demonstrate how booksellers.ca will give customers the added value of a one-stop shopping experience, where they can browse and purchase from the inventories of hundreds of bookstores across the country through a single, unified website, and how it focuses on providing an additional sales channel for independent Canadian booksellers. The session will cover key features including inventory synchronization, smart order fulfillment and reduced shipping costs through Canada Post group purchasing. The initiative aims to increase the availability of books in both official languages across Canada while leveraging AI to enhance the discoverability of Canadian publishers' works.
