With nearly 60 years of experience in the business, Librairie le Fureteur in Saint-Lambert, Québec has earned, as its name suggests, a reputation for sharing great literary finds. Responsible for le Fureteur's youth section, Marika B. Drapeau will share her recommendations for curating a balanced and diverse selection of backlist titles in French for young readers. By providing an overview of authors who should be on your radar and why, her recommendations will cover books from across Canada, in various genres and for different age groups, as well as French-immersion resources for parents and teachers. The presentation will provide CIBA booksellers with ideas for filling orders and recommending resources strategically.

This event is the first in a series intended to create a comprehensive overview of French-Canadian creators and publishers. Stay tuned for other announcements.

Presenter: Marika B. Drapeau has been a bookseller for nearly 9 years. In addition to recommending books that she's passionate about, she sits on assessment committees for literary prizes and loves to talk about her favourite reads on the radio!

Note - the event time listed is EST.
