Welcome to CIBA!

If you are a Book Industry Association looking for networking opportunities, Canadian book industry updates, and an active forum to collaborate on issues that matter to your members, you’re in the right place!

Connect

  • Connect virtually with booksellers from across the country to share experience, expertise, and insight through networking events

  • Collaborate and network with key stakeholders in the wider book and publishing industry

  • Contact booksellers through our member directory and contact service

Participate

  • Attend or submit session proposals for virtual sessions on topics of interest to your members through our targeted Lectures & Labs series

  • Engage in discussions and ask questions in our member forums

Who is eligible to join as a Book Industry NGO (Affiliate)?

Canadian regional or international bookselling associations, and associations of publishers, writers, illustrators and other book industry professionals.

The membership application will ask a number of questions about you and your association.

  • Privacy: You can decide what information is kept completely private, shared only with fellow members, or shared with the general public
  • Administrator: The person who signs up for CIBA will be considered the membership Administrator and will be the main point of contact for important member communications
  • Additional registrants: You can register additional individuals in your association as part of your membership bundle
  • Payment options: CIBA’s membership portal accepts payment by Visa, Mastercard, or will email you an invoice for payment by cheque
Annual dues for CIBA Affiliates: $200 CAD
